A practical guide for Philippine shoppers: check serving size, transparent ingredient amounts, directions, cautions, evidence, and Philippine FDA authorizations before choosing a sports supplement.
Draft reviewed for source context on October 12, 2026. General education, not individualized medical advice. Owner medical/regulatory review is required before public publication.
Start with the serving
Find the serving size and whether quantities are per scoop, per serving or per package. Compare units carefully: grams and milligrams are different. A scoop is not an interchangeable unit across products. If directions and the facts panel disagree, ask the brand before using the product; do not choose whichever instruction is more convenient.
Separate active ingredients from total powder
The combined named active weight may exclude flavoring, sweeteners and other ingredients. It need not equal the total powder in a flavored serving. Read the complete ingredients list and check any allergen or warning information. Compare like-for-like servings rather than assuming similar tub weights mean similar formulas.
Read the boundaries
Directions, storage, warnings, lot and expiry information are part of the product, not optional small print. Check whether an online image shows the current package. A historical label can be useful for tracing changes but should not be presented as current directions without confirmation.
Check records and claims separately
An establishment LTO and a product CPR answer different questions. Use the Philippine FDA verification portal to compare the actual business/product identifiers. Registration does not establish a promised exercise result. A lab report should identify its sample, lot and test scope; a seal on an advertisement is not a substitute for the original record.
When information conflicts
Pause and request a corrected current label or approved specification. For CREATE, the current scoop/serving and historical loading panels require owner reconciliation. Do not calculate a new regimen or assume ingredient-study instructions apply to a multi-ingredient formula. Ask a healthcare professional where suitability or medicines are relevant.
