A practical guide to the Philippines FDA’s License to Operate (LTO) and Certificate of Product Registration (CPR), with evidence-aware notes on reading sports-supplement labels and interpreting ingredient research without treating registration as an endorsement.
Draft reviewed for source context on October 12, 2026. General education, not individualized medical advice. Owner medical/regulatory review is required before public publication.
Two different records
A Philippine FDA License to Operate concerns an establishment and its authorized activity. A Certificate of Product Registration concerns a product. A business licence should not be displayed as if it were registration of every product or flavor sold by that business.
What to compare
Check the business or product name, applicable activity or product details, reference number and relevant dates against the actual label and original record. A similar brand name is not enough to conclude that a record applies. Amendments, renewals and flavor-specific information may matter; ask for clarification when the relationship is not clear.
Use the official portal
The Philippine FDA directs shoppers to its verification portal to search food products and supplements by name, brand, manufacturer/importer or food-registration number. Record what was actually found and when. A missing search result alone should not be turned into a definitive legal conclusion without checking scope, spelling and current official information.
Registration is not endorsement
Do not interpret an LTO or CPR as government endorsement of a brand, guaranteed efficacy, a clinical trial or universal safety. Regulatory records, manufacturing certifications, laboratory results and ingredient science are different evidence categories. Each should be identified and explained according to its actual scope.
GRIT+ status in this handoff
No original GRIT+ LTO or CREATE CPR has been supplied or independently verified here. The Hub has upload-ready cards explicitly marked awaiting documentation. The owner must provide original applicable records and approve public disclosure/redaction before they are displayed as available. This guide is consumer education, not an official compliance attestation.
